I am a stay-at-home
mom of seven children; my youngest is a few months and my oldest
is eight years. In August of 2005 our girl/boy twins were born.
We named them Avielle Bliss and Arden Brahm and later felt their
middle names lent themselves perfectly to the title of this
business!
As soon as I found
out that I was having a girl and a boy, my three children and I
went to the m
 all
and shopped for coordinating outfits for them. Although I was
able to find a few things here and there, I was frustrated by
the small selection and the amount of time it took to search for
items that went together. It only became harder to find things
as they got older, especially when they passed two years of age.
Several times I spent hours on the internet, trying to find
stores that offered matching outfits. From family, friends and
other mothers of multiples, the refrain has been the same;
"where can I find matching outfits for boy/girl twins?" Every
time I was asked this I would think, 'I should start a clothing
line that would do that'. Thus sprung the idea for 'Bliss and
Brahm'!
I want to offer a
store that is exclusively for girl/boy multiples, designed by a
mom of girl/boy twi
 ns
herself. I also aspire to offer a more comprehensive variety of
sizes than one is typically able to find in coordinating sets.
So many multiples are preemies or are very small, so I want to
offer adorable preemie-sized coordinating clothes. I want to
have sizes for older multiples, as well, since it is very hard
to find matching clothes past the twenty-four to thirty-six
month age range.
My favorite part of
this is the creative aspect! I love finding coordinating fabrics
and choosing designs for the outfits. I've always been inspired
by colors, textures and the transforming effect of clothing. I
hope that you will be equally impressed by the fun, whimsical
and comfy designs we offer for your multiples!
